NIL is known as “Name, Image, and Likeness”. It is the use of an athlete’s NIL through marketing and promotional endeavors. Student-athletes at NCAA institutions could begin monetizing their NIL beginning on July 1, 2021.

No, the Knights Table is established by Constant Sports Management, a third party. It is unaffiliated with Southern Virginia University.
What is the Knights Table Collective
The Knights Table Collective is a fund made up of a group of Knight Nation supporters via financial contributions. This fund is managed by an advisory committee. Funds provided by the supporters will be allocated to the Knights Student – athletes.
Knights Table Collective LLC will allow the fund to pay athletes for their Name, Image, and likeness for marketing, advertising, speaking events, social media, and other opportunities.
Which Athletes Benefit from The Knights Table Collective?
This is a market driven fund. With the established advisory board will use the proper outlines for N.I.L. collectives and distribute the funds to the sports/athletes who can create the biggest impact for Knight Nation.
What if I want to make a contribution to just one sport, can I do that?
Yes! If you would like to support a specific sport, we will designate your contribution to the said sport.
NIL Rules and Regulations
- There must be quid pro quo attached to a NIL deal essentially requiring a student-athlete to do an activity to receive compensation.
- That activity cannot be tied to athletic performance such as statistical achievements, wins, or awards.
- That activity cannot be contingent upon the student-athlete committing to the university that the collective supports or tied to enrollment.
- Institutions do not provide compensation in exchange for the use of a student-athletes NIL.
NCAA rules also require student-athletes to follow their state law or institutional policy if there is no existing state law governing NIL activities.
Governing Body
The Knight’s Collective is in the process of establishing its very own Board of Directors. As of now it will be governed by Constant Sports Management.
